Dear Families,
Welcome to Christ the King Lutheran School. My name is Jim Novy, and I teach 5th-8th Grade Science, 8th Grade Religion, and 8th Grade Math. I am also the 8th Grade homeroom teacher.
I was born in Montana in 1963, and since then have lived in many different places: Wisconsin, Illinois, the Philippines, Colorado, Nebraska, Michigan, and Tennessee. I received my BS in Secondary Education from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska, with majors in math and biology. After graduating, I taught Biology/Ecology for 2 years at Lutheran High School North in Macomb, Michigan, a northern suburb of Detroit. I then received a "call" to teach here at Christ the King Lutheran School. This is my 15th year at CTK.
My wife Michella and I have been married for 19 years and have been blessed with 2 children: Jeanette and Mark. My family and I attend Christ the King Lutheran Church and are active in various aspects of the ministries of the church.
I am looking forward to a great school year!
In Christ,
James R. Novy
