Our theme for this school year is, "Walking in the Light of God," Our Bible verse for this year is from
1 John 1:7, "But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."
We will learn many things in Preschool 3's this year. First and foremost, they will learn about God's great love for them and about Jesus and His sacrifice for them on the cross. We will incorporate this into all we do.
We will learn many Bible verses, as well as many Christian songs. We will say blessings before snack and lunch each day and also say a prayer before resttime. We will also enjoy going to morning devotions with the other classes for songs and prayers. This year will one of great spiritual growth for your child.
In academic areas, they will learn colors, shapes, numbers to 10 (but we will count much higher), learn the letters in their names, learn left to right progression (counting on our calendar), learn about seasons, patterning, work puzzles and many other things. We will also practice cutting skills every week.
They will also learn the Pledge of Allegiance and the Christian Pledge.
In social skills, the children will learn cooperation, sharing, serving, taking turns, and also manners.
Your child will learn to manage him/herself in the restroom, correct handwashing, and how to be responsible for their own lunch and clean-up.
