About DI

What is Destination Imagination?
Destination Imagination is the largest worldwide creative problem solving competition for teams kindergarten through college.  In most affiliates, Local, Regional, and National finals are held between February and April of each year.  In Memphis, our regional tournament is on February 28 and our state tournament is on April 18.  The Destination Imagination year culminates with Global Finals, which takes place this year on May 20-23, 2009 at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

What is Destination ImagiNation?
The mission of Destination Imagination is to foster the development of creative thinking and problem solving skills.  Great minds don't necessarily think alike--and they often march to different drummers; there are no right answers.  Those involved with Destination Imagination discover that creative solutions come from teamwork, cooperation, and risk-taking.

How do I register my child?
Please return Destination Imagination resistration forms to your teacher by September 29.  This program also involves parents who are committed to helping children reach their full creative potential.  If you are one of these, please consider becoming a team manager.

Direct any questions you may have to Mrs. Felicia Caloun, DINI Program Coordinator for Christ the King Lutheran School @ 682-8405.
