John Sanders offers after school music lessons at Christ The King Lutheran school. He has been teaching young people how to play musical instruments for the past 14 years and holds a Masters Degree in Music Composition from the University of Memphis.
Lessons Available for:
Keyboard
Guitar
Saxophone
Flute
Clarinet
Lessons are taught in groups of two to four children. Keyboards have a set of headphones so that each child may move at his or her own pace. Keyboards are provided for the class, but each child should have a keyboard or piano available at home for practice. Children will provide their own instrument for guitar, saxophone, flute, and clarinet lessons. Mr. Sanders can give you suggestions for instrument acquisition.
Goals
• To learn to play an instrument.
• To discover the joy that comes from playing music with others.
• To develop a sense of pride and self-satisfaction.
• To enhance self-discipline by getting ready for a performance.
Cost
• Lessons are $8.00 per lesson. Payments are made in advance in groups of ten lessons for a cost of $80.00.
