1st Grade Supplies

MRS. WELCH’S FIRST GRADE SUPPLY LIST

1.  Crayons - 2 boxes of 16 or 24*
2.  Washable Markers - box of 8 broad-line  (Classic colors)*
3.  (2) bottles white glue (4 oz.) Elmer's School Glue
4.  (6) glue sticks
5.  Scissors - Fiskars pointed-end scissors are better for many of our activities*
6.  (12) #2 pencils  (Please sharpen.  We will all share so no fancy pencils needed.)
7.  (2) Primary pencil tablets – (1/2”, 5/8” (preferred), or 3/4” lines)  Available at Ike’s, Knowledge Tree
8.   Ruler - both inches and centimeters are needed (12")*
9.  Crayola-brand Water colors* with brush
10.  Pencil Top Erasers
11.  (2) Large pink erasers
12.  Set of different colors of modeling clay (Not Model Magic)*
               (Found at Target, Walmart, Dollar Stores, or Hobby Lobby)
13.  Two large boxes of Kleenex
14. Girls - (1) Box of quart ziplock bags
        Boys - (1) Box of gallon ziplock baggies  (Ziploc Easy Zipper works best for our needs.)
15.  1” 3-ring binder
16.  1 package of 8 ½” x 11” white copy paper
17.  4 folders with (horizontal) pockets*
18.  (2) 100-piece packages of 3” x 5” white notecards (lined or unlined)
19.  Assignment Book  (purchase through school)*
   
       * Please label the asterisked supplies with your child’s name

        School boxes are not needed – they will be provided.


SPANISH SUPPLIES

 
1 box of tissues, 1 Yellow folder

Each student is responsible for his or her own folder, binder, handouts, books, and workbooks.  If a book is lost or damaged, a new one must be purchased.  Also, if a student loses any class material given out in class, he or she must inform the teacher so that the material may be replaced.
