  Mandated by State law

Christ the King Lutheran School normally adheres strictly to these minimum age guidelines.  Exceptions require that test scores, or other comparable evidence, be provided to insure that early admission is in the best interests of a child.  There must also be unanimous agreement of the teacher, the Early Childhood Director (prior to Grade 1), and the Principal that such early admission is best for the child.

Priorities for Admission

The Board of Christian Education determines all admissions policies, and has established the following order of priority for admissions:

  1. Children of members of Christ the King Lutheran Church

  2. Children enrolled the previous year

  3. Siblings of children enrolled the previous year

  4. Children of families with no church affiliation

  5. Children of members of Missouri Synod Churches lacking schools

  6. Children of parents holding membership in Christian congregations, including ELCA Lutheran churches, not having schools

  7. Children of other Lutheran churches, Missouri Synod which do have schools

Note:  Attending children, not members of Christ the King Lutheran Church, shall not be removed from school to make room for a member’s child.
