Advanced Honors is a program designed for students in grades 7 and 8 who, based on four criteria, will have completed 9th grade coursework in Mathematics, Science, and Literature when they graduate. To be accepted in Advanced Honors and continue through the program, a student's achievement test score must be in the 86th percentile or higher in the core subject areas, maintain a minimum "B" report card average, be recommended by the teachers, and have parent approval.
Advanced Honors grades are weighted an extra ten percentage points on the report card.
