Annual Fund

Christ the King Lutheran School is into another year of providing quality, Christ-centered education to students throughout the Memphis region. Over the coming months, the students and staff will share many opportunities to grow academically and spiritually while being equipped to serve those in our community and beyond. I ask that you join me in praying for this school year and the ongoing ministry of Christ the King Lutheran School.

As principal at Christ the King, I often think about the expenses and costs associated with operating an excellent early childhood and elementary school that teaches Christian values. I thank God for the generous number of supporters in our church and community who have helped this ministry to continue to provide for the needs of families who send their children here. You can change the course of history for our 260 students with just one gift. God has truly blessed our school!

I ask that you consider financially supporting our Annual Fund.  The Annual Fund is targeting two major areas this year. First, we hope to acquire twenty-five technology tablets - enough for a whole class to use at one time - for literature, science, history, math, and religion. These tablets will allow students to read books online, take notes and edit documents, and research many wonderful educational sites on the internet. Estimated cost for the tablets is in the $10,000-15,000 range.

Second, we desire to provide cabinetry, cupboards, and counter tops for our classrooms. When the classrooms were constructed years ago, each room had nothing more than four cinder block walls, floor tile, and lighting. To better equip our teachers to serve the children and to provide a fresh, updated, and uniformed look to our facilities, new storage areas are necessary in the classrooms. Estimated cost for this project is $15,000-20,000.

I ask that you prayerfully consider partnering with us by participating in this year's Fund Drive with a tax-deductible donation, whether it be $50, $100, $250, or significantly more. However you give - whatever you can do - will mean so much to the students, faculty, and very future of Christ the King Lutheran School.
