only by first name. CTK may choose to let students adopt “net
names”.
· All

3. Web
page documentation may not include any information which
indicates the physical location of a student at a given time.
4. No

students’ names do not appear in the name. (e.g., johndoe.gif)
6.
Personal web
pages for students are not permitted as part of the CTK Lutheran
School and ECC web site. Links to personal student web pages
from CTK Lutheran School and ECC web site are likewise not
permitted.
General Guidelines
1. Web
page publications must comply with all state, federal, and
international laws concerning copyright, intellectual
property, and use of telecommunications.
2.
The content
of school web pages must be consistent with the educational aims
of the CTK Lutheran School and ECC Board of Christian Education
and the letter and spirit of the CTK Lutheran School and ECC
Board of Christian Education policies and regulations. All
subject matter should relate to curriculum, instruction,
school-authorized activities, general school-related information
that is appropriate and of interest to others, or information
that relates to schools within the Memphis district.
3.
All school
web pages must reside on the CTK Lutheran School and Church web
servers (http://www.ctkschool.com
and
http://www.ctk-lcms.org) unless an exception is granted by
the Principal.
4. It
shall be the responsibility of the school principal to approve
all content on the school’s web pages. Content should be updated
on a regular basis with the revised date posted on the web site.
5. All
web pages should be free of spelling and grammatical errors.
6.
All external
links included on web pages must be evaluated for appropriate
educational content. The following disclaimer should appear on
every web page that contains external links: “Christ The King
Lutheran School and Early Childhood Center makes every effort to
ensure that the content of hyperlinks on its Web pages complies
with our guidelines for quality and appropriateness. Upon
posting links to our Web site, contents of the existing links
met those guidelines. We also conduct sample monitoring of
links. However, the content of links sometimes changes without
our knowledge. Please notify us should you discover links with
inappropriate content, and we will take action accordingly.”
External links should be
periodically checked to ensure validity and content. Common
courtesy, but not law, dictates that web masters of
externally-linked sites be notified of use of such links.
7.
School web
pages should not serve as community bulletin boards. A link to
the city or community web page is suggested to reference
community events.

time on a 14.4K modem connection. Large graphics and some
animations contribute to increased loading time.
3. Web
