“Richard Trah, my 8th grade teacher, took a special interest in all of us. He tried to make us all we could be athletically, academically, spiritually, and emotionally. I was so sad when I learned that my oldest son would not be blessed by Richard Trah’s presence at CTK. But you know, my son has since graduated from CTK and had the love and spiritual guidance of a man with similar gifts. My son will never forget his 8th grade teacher (Jim Novy) and holds him in high regard. The faces may change, but the legacy of love and spiritual guidance lives on from generation to generation. God bless all of you – past, present, and future from CTK.”

Julie McCann Joffre (1977), Julie has 2 sons that attend or have attended CTK.

“I have many great memories of CTK, but one that stands out in particular was the week we spent at Outdoor Education at Chickasaw State Park when I was in the 6th grade. We were the first class to ever do it, so that made it kind of special. We spent the week applying principles learned in school to outdoor activities. It was probably also the first time most of us had been away from home for any length of time. We still go to church at CTK and both of my children attend CTK school. My wife and I, and our sons, could not be more pleased!”

Chris Hugo (1978), Manager of Desktop Engineering, International Paper

“It is definitely true that my years at CTK (1970-1978) were very important ones in my life for a variety of reasons and I remember them fondly.”

Elizabeth Wade (1978), Assistant Professor of German at the University of Wisconsin. She studied in Germany and Iceland.

“I can see how God has truly blessed CTK since the time I taught there (1977-1982). It has continued to grow and flourish – only possible by God’s almighty hand! I remember being thrilled with the excitement with which the kids sang in choir and in the school musicals. I still sing some of the refrains to songs from those years back! And of course, who could sing like those CTK kids in choir.”

Diane Zabel Gibson (1977-1982), former CTK Teacher
