Meet Ashton Tennyson

When did I begin working at Christ the King:

  • August 2022

 

The best thing about CTK is:

  • Working in an environment where I can do what I love while teaching about the love of Christ.

Educational Background:

  • I graduated from the University of Memphis in May of 2022 with my Bachelors of Science in Education. I participated in a double licensure program for K-5th general education and K-12 SPED intervention. 

 

Favorite Bible verse/quote:

  • Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. I say to myself, “The LORD is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.” Lamentations 3:22-24

 

If I weren't doing what I do today, I would be an:

  • an interior designer

 

What "lesson from mom" do I still live by today:

  • Love others like Jesus

 

If I could spend a week anywhere in the world, it would be:

  • The Greek Isles

 

Favorite movie of all time:

  • Pride and Prejudice/Something Borrowed

  

Favorite sports team:

  • Memphis Tigers

Favorite food/restaurant:

  • Cheese Dip and Salsa

Best concert I've ever attended: 

  • Harry Styles! Although the Taylor Swift concert I am about to attend will probably change this answer.

 

If I could learn to do anything, it would be:

  • to surf-I love all things beach!

  • my sweet friends, family, and two goldendoodles
