To start "Celebrate CTK Week" with a flourish was our annual Staff vs. Middle School Basketball Game. Coming off a winning 2024-2025 basketball season was the 7th/8th grade team. Coming off their sofas and rolly chairs was the dedicated and slightly overly optimistic staff.
Both teams gave it their all to win the ultimate prize in the Celebrate CTK Championship–"Bragging Rights".
The staff started strong and racked up points quickly. However, the stealthily young generation of players came like a thief in the night and stole points left and right during the second half.
The second half ended with a victory for the middle school students. Bragging rights was right in their grasp when suddenly, another half was added. The staff resorted to cheatery in an extra stretch of the game in order to snatch the prize. With inflated points on the behalf of the staff, the older generation demolished the younger.
The students will have to wait another year to score a victory over the ever so humble staff.
