Personal Enrichment Programs – PEP

At CTK, it is our goal to provide the opportunity for age-appropriate activities and enrichment for students outside of our set curriculum. Our enrichment program PEP allows students to interact with peers from different grade levels while exploring exciting and new ventures that they would not typically experience in the gen-ed classroom.

Our mission at Christ the King Lutheran is to "Equip Children for Christian Leadership." To live out our mission statement, our middle school students take on the leadership role of planning and leading our PEP sessions. All PEP sessions are supervised by CTK faculty.

Why does enrichment matter?

A Stronger Mind: Academic rigors such as in-depth reading and complex problem solving go far to strengthen the mind, but enrichment activities allow the mind to be strengthened even further in different ways.

Training in Other Skills: Enrichment activities can work to nurture leadership skills that a classroom alone cannot always foster. Through different enrichment programs, students can be armed with many life skills.

A Wider Social Circle: Enrichment programs do not solely impart stronger skills and supplement education, but they offer students the opportunity to spend time with peers of similar interests.

Exploration of Interests: Extracurriculars allow students to pursue interests outside of a standardized academic setting, thus exposing students to a diverse range of interests.
