Technology

Technology plays an integral role in our middle school curriculum at Christ the King as technology supports and enhances student learning, along with preparing students for their high school academic career. 

Students in grades 6-7 receive their own Chromebook for personal use throughout the year and students in grade 8 have access to a MacBook Air laptop computer. All student laptops and many computer apps are used throughout the year for the classroom-learning environment. Parents have an option to purchase insurance through the school using the iPad/laptop protection plan. If insurance is not purchased, the family is responsible for the cost to replace an iPad/laptop that has been damaged.

Students in grades 6-8 utilize personal laptops in classrooms to access online textbooks, conduct research, produce technology related projects, and access many useful websites.
